Tumbling Classes

Our tumbling program is designed to help students build skills progressively, from entry-level fundamentals through advanced tumbling. Students work on all of the skills listed within their level while continuing to develop and strengthen foundational skills and basics.

Asterisks (*) indicate skills that are required to move up. All other skills are worked on at that level but are not required for advancement.

Beginner Tumbling:

Tumbling 1 — Entry Level

Tumbling 1 is our entry-level class and is designed for students who are new to tumbling or are beginning to develop their foundational skills.

  • Handstand *

  • Cartwheel R/L (good side required) *

  • Backward roll to wedge *

  • Forward roll to wedge *

  • Jump back to resi

  • Straight jump back onto panel

  • Hurdle to lunge

  • Tuck, pike, and straddle positions


Intermediate/ADVANCED Tumbling:

Registration requires instructor approval. Please contact us for an evaluation if your child has tumbling experience.

Tumbling 2

Students continue building their foundational tumbling skills while working toward more advanced movements.

  • Forward roll — no hands to stand up *

  • Round-off *

  • Hurdle to lunge

  • Back handspring over barrel

  • Bridge kickover *

  • Tuck jump back onto panel mat

  • Front walkover over barrel

  • Tuck, pike, and straddle jumps

Tumbling 3

Students begin developing more advanced tumbling combinations, rebounds, and introductory aerial skills.

  • Back walkover *

  • Running round-off rebound *

  • Hurdle cartwheel lock

  • Back handspring — light spot/solo *

  • Front walkover

  • Running punch onto elevated mat

  • Spotted back tuck on trampoline

  • One-hand cartwheel

  • Aerial drills

Tumbling 4

Students work on advanced tumbling skills, including unspotted back handsprings, aerials, and back tucks.

  • Round-off back handspring — no spot *

  • Aerials

  • Front tuck

  • Spotted back tuck on floor

Tumbling 5

The highest tumbling level focuses on advanced tumbling passes and salto development.

  • Back handspring to back tuck down wedge

  • Round-off, back handspring, back tuck on trampoline

  • Round-off, back handspring, back tuck on floor

  • Back layout

  • Back full

  • Additional advanced tumbling skills and combinations as appropriate for each student


*Listed tuition is charged monthly. Register anytime, tuition will be prorated if starting mid-month.
